What are the elements of Italian luxury excellence that can be utilized in other industries and in different cultures and how could the integration of Italian and American cultures create more effective business models?

Each student will answer some open ended questions about the key issues covered in the course and about all industries analyzed in the course: (luxury, fashion, industrial design, etc.). Most relevance will be given to the lessons learned from on line classes, readings, case analysis. The students will write an individual 5 double-spaced pages final paper, due by the end of the semester, answering the following questions:Which are, on your opinion, the key success elements of Made in Italy and Italian excellence and which are the major threats?What have you learned in this class that you would you pass on as an advice to an aspiring manager or entrepreneur, and why do you think this advice would be good for businesses in general? What are the elements of Italian luxury excellence that can be utilized in other industries and in different cultures and how could the integration of Italian and American cultures create more effective business models?Which are some common key elements (or key success factors), on your opinion, to be mentioned, amongst the cases of all the industries analyzed and discussed during the course.
