My Groups theme: Families, Friends & RelationshipsMy Research Question: What are the psychological effects of the pandemic and what strategies are people developing to cope with them?YOUR PAPER SHOULD BE A BIT LONGER (At least 6-7 pp.; 4-5 secondary sources) I.Include a title and your name (as the author of your individual report)II.Introduction (2-3 paragraphs): a.The first paragraph of your introduction should include your research question and also discuss some of the hypotheses that you came up with early on in your research (before you read all the journal entries); that is, some of your early educated guesses about what responses to your question you might find and why. b.You should then include 1-2 paragraphs in which you briefly discuss 2-4 major themes (or findings) that emerged from your research in response to your question. Were your early educated guesses correct? Were there things that surprised you as you read through the journal entries? You don’t need to go into a lot of detail here, you are merely stating your major conclusions, and noting their relationship to your initial hypotheses, any surprises, etc. III.Body of your report IV.Take each of the major findings (or themes) you identified in your introduction and include a 2-4 paragraph section on each in which you discuss that theme in more detail and provide evidence to illustrate how it emerges in the journal entries. You can include a section heading (or subtitle) for each of these findings to help you organize the paper more clearly. In discussing each of your findings, you should include citations from the journal entries as evidence that supports what you are saying. In at least some of these sections, you should try to draw on secondary sources like news articles that link what you found in your research to larger things going on in society. Based on what you found in the journal entries, what sorts of things can we conclude about your group’s theme (Health & Healthcare; Families, Friends & Relationships; Work & Money), as it relates to the CSI community? How are these related to what’s going on in the larger society? (Bring in secondary sources.) VI.Conclusion (1-2 paragraphs): Are there any questions that you were left with or that you couldn’t answer due to the research design and method we are using? (Our research is relying primarily on journal entries written by folks in our class. These entries can help shed light on some of the ways that the pandemic is affecting the CSI community in relation to your theme, but there are also limits to this methodology.
