What are the “rules” of the genre: word count, acceptable/unacceptable things to say?

You will pick three “cultural artifacts”. A cultural artifact can be any created piece of media: Netflix show, newspaper article, Tiktok, music video, novel, etc. For each of the three cultural artifacts do the following:1) Situate the cultural artifact in its genre. A) What is the medium: article, movie, book? B) What are the “rules” of the genre: word count, acceptable/unacceptable things to say? In other words what makes this genre uniquely this genre? Really dive into the details. No “rule” or feature is too small to count2) Situate the audience this cultural artifact is intended for.
