What do you think is the author’s message in the Lost Paradise?

Journal Response Instructions Please follow the format of the instructions. Look at the sample if you need.The Journal Responses to the stories are personal responses assigned to readings. I expect you to write about what you think – did you like the work? Why or why not? What do you think is the author’s message? Is it conveyed effectively? Why or why not? Did you learn anything about the author or time period based on the reading? Can you relate to the work? How? Don’t feel the need to address all of the previous questions. This is merely a list to give you an idea of what you should be discussing. I do not want to read a summary of the selection – I know what it is about. My concern is reading your analysis (interpretation) of the work. You are not required to incorporate quotes, but I certainly welcome and encourage doing so. Again, my concern is reading your ideas; do not include an overwhelming amount of quotes – this will guarantee a deduction in points. And don’t try to address too many disucssion points. I’d rather you address a few and develop them well, rather than address five or six and not develop any of them.Format: Simply put your name at the top left corner, and then put the selection (story) name you are responding to at the top right corner.
