Write an essay reflecting on your relationship to the Christian faith based:

Part 1. What is your relationship to the Christian faith?
A. If you are a participant in the broad Christian faith, what particular tradition(s) are you from (i.e., Baptist, Churches of Christ, Catholic, non-denominational, etc.)?

B. What is the nature of your relationship to that particular heritage (i.e., frustration, appreciation, skepticism, etc.)? What, in your view, are the main strengths and weaknesses of your particular tradition as you have experienced it?

Part 2. How would you characterize your grasp of Christian history in general (vague familiarity, absolutely no knowledge of it, etc.)?

What about your grasp of your particular heritages history if you are a participant in the Christian tradition?

What do you hope to gain from this class? With regard to this last question, please avoid short responses such as, To get credit for a class I am forced to take.
