– 300 words response papers, you will relate the speaker’s comments to at least one of the course readings
-Your response paper should:
Provide a brief summary of the speaker’s remarks.
Provide some reflection on those comments. Some ideas for reflection are:
Pick one idea. Choose a point, fact or argument made by the speaker that intrigued you, infuriated you, puzzled you, or otherwise appealed to you. Write a post in which you discuss that and your reaction, including an explanation for why you reacted that way.
Connect the dots. How does the speaker’s comments relate to something else we’ve read or discussed in class?
Consider a new perspective. Think about the speaker’s main points; how might a different actor respond to them? So, for example, what might an NGO, a utility owner, an oil company or an international organization think about the speaker’s comments? How would they respond, and why do you think they would respond that way?
