Why is it a good (or bad) choice to research Poe’s The Tell Tale Heart with the texts you chose?

My Topic Choice: Edgar Allen Poe’s, The Tell-Tale Heart is filled with paranoia and mental deterioration. No one knows who the narrator is. The narrator claims he is of sound mind but is he? The lack of details about the two main characters contrast the specific plot details leading up to the murder.Notes from Professor on my chosen topic: If in the process of writing the paper you are struggling for enough analysis to fill 6 pages, you could expand your topic to bring in another of Poe’s characters to help you make your point. So, your main focus is on the Tell-Tale Heart, but here’s a paragraph discussing how Poe is doing something similar (or different!) with the narrator of the “Cask of Amontillado” or some other such thing. In other words, you can remain open to looking at characters from other stories, but primarily focus on the Tell Tale Heart. Assignment:For this assignment, you will select a topic below and develop a research essay of 5-6 pages. You should use five academic-caliber research resources for this essay (beyond the primary texts you are using from the textbook).
