Write a report about the causes,prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis.

Purpose: This assignment is designed to assess the following skills: communication, quantitative literacy, critical thinking, and teamwork. If someone drops, I may do some re-arranging with the groups. You must get approval of topic (chapters 21-27) from instructor, by July 18.Roles: In your group, someone will assume the role of the patient (has the disease/infection), the nurse (asks about symptoms, reports to doctor), doctor (orders tests, give diagnosis, prescriptions, and follow up), and the lab tech (runs the tests and gives results to doctor). I will email your group who has what role.Assignment focusing on critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and quantitative literacy:You will be tasked to work as a group to research your topic/disease and determine what symptoms the patient will have, what questions the nurse asks and is concerned with, what the doctor asks, what tests the doctor asks for and why, what the treatment will be, and the lab tech will be responsible for sharing the values of the tests. You will individually research information on the topic specific to your role and then share with the group. If your chosen disease is commonly misdiagnosed, that may be included. If you have to try multiple treatment options, that is fine as well. You may include if the patient has complications due to the infection or the treatment.As part of the assignment, you need to choose at least two variables to graph over the course of two weeks, minimum. Based on your disease, the time frame can be longer or shorter. These variables could be leukocyte count, blood pressure, body temperature, size and/or number of lesions, antibody count, heart rate, etc. You will need to note a trend in these variables and explain such in your report. Your graph should be appropriately labeled and include units of measurement for your variables. The graphs should be similar amongst group members, but NOT IDENTICAL!By Aug. 3 each member of the group must submit a typed report explaining your role and the role of others in your group. Symptoms, test results, diagnosis, treatment, etc. should be included as well as a properly labelled graph of the variables chosen to keep track of. The focus of this assignment is communication, so be sure to include how the diagnosis, treatment, test results, and prognosis are communicated to the patient and/or loved ones. If there is a trend to those variables, that needs to be addressed. Reports should be similar among group members, but should NOT be identical. You need to include at least two references in addition to your textbook. One of the references may be a website, but not both. You need to get approval of your source if it is not from a textbook or medical or scientific journal. Under no circumstances is Wikipedia to be used.
