(see especially the bottom of the page where the pros and cons are discussed). Are there any conditions/requirements for voting (other than age, citizenship, and registration) that you think should be in place for all US elections? Why or why not?

Week 7
Someone who is frustrated with the US government comes to you and says: “I am so sick of all the divisions and disagreements in Congress, and nothing meaningful ever seems to get done! I wish the President/Executive Branch could do whatever they/it wants to do without Congress. THEN things would get DONE!” Do you agree with this perspective? Why or why not?
Week 8
A public high school student did not make the varsity cheerleading team, and made the junior varsity cheerleading team instead. Over a weekend and away from school, she posted a picture of herself on Snapchat with the caption “F**k school f**k softball f**k cheer f**k everything.” (NOTE: the student did not use asterisks in the snap caption.) The coaches learned about the snap from other students, decided it violated team and school rules, and suspended the student from the junior varsity team for a year. Question: Do you think the school violated the student’s 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech? Why or why not?
