Write a research paper that explains the main ideas of Christian theology.
The essay should be 4-5 well-developed paragraphs, consult provided readings and books as sources.
The essay may take a variety of forms:
An argument: intro and thesis, claim 1 and support, etc., conclusion.
A typology: intro, type 1, type 2, etc., conclusion.
A simple story: beginning, middle, and end.
A comparison of two or more things.
In text citation are as follows: Name and page number (“name”, p. “pg”)
Most important is whether the essay makes concrete claims and supports them through appeal to course material (understood correctly). Please look at the rubric – notice that points cannot be earned if an essay does not engage explicitly with the course material and scripture. That means that you must refer to specific authors and ideas, quoting both assigned readings and scripture.
Choose One of the following prompts:
Explain three or four practices described in this section and how they might help your work avoid sin and idolatry and participate in the mission of God.
Write a “Ten Commandments” (or seven to twelve commandments) for integrating faith and work, making sure to explain and illustrate these commandments.
Drawing on all relevant course material, give a biblical definition of “justice” along with contemporary illustrations of its various facets.
