Western feminism was created and had been continuously evolving through traditions, values, and inequalities based in western societies. It has become the leading development that has brought women in the West to success by improving women’s rights, increasing women’s employment, and women’s equality. Western feminism, specifically located in the United States, is quite liberal in its view of equality. The issue that lies here is that the definition of feminism presently is always lost to the meaning of Western feminism, to the point where third world feminist discourses have resorted to following the same values without putting thought into the cultural context. Most women’s rights, in the context of the West, fit into the mantra of “freedom for all.” This type of feminism is perhaps limiting to other cultures outside of the western society since not all women may want the same rights as western women. Furthermore, establishing international discourses for western societies is becoming increasingly important as it tightens its connections with numerous countries. However, the West has had a long history with patterns of intervention to the third world. A movement called Third Wave Feminism had emerged in the mid-1990s, which imitates feminism of women in developing countries who may not share the same identity and values as Western feminism. The heterogeneity of third world women is continually ignored throughout Western feminist discourses. With that being said, Western feminism has been pushed onto non-western societies, assuming that those societies could evolve identically. Yet, this completely disregards the diversity not only between the West and the third world countries but between the third world countries themselves. In this essay, I will be discussing the marginalization of third-world women under western feminism, as well as creating a study design that would help develop a solution to western feminism’s inadequacies. The above is my introduction. My paper is somewhat written but I need someone to complete it as I have many other issues I need to face right now. The introduction can stay the same; however everything else I have already written a small section on and it needs to be continued.The theoretical picture “needs to talk about the situation related to the topic. Your question should be innovative enough that you do additional research for this section.” The theoretical picture is the part that will include all the readings that I have mentioned in the bibliography. That part has comments from the professor saying he needs to know that this is a problem and I should be more clear in that. Therefore for this section I need to to discuss the problem and why it is a problem and then support that with the following readings. My research question is “How can scholars globally create inclusivity to the definition of feminism with regards to third world women? ” This section has to outline why your question is important and what we need to know and can learn from your question. This part is only 1 page so not really that long but I need you to state why answering this question is important.The final is the methodology. I need you to start off with my idea that I made. The idea is “The methodology that will be used for this paper includes a quantitative and qualitative method. The quantitative approach will be created through a survey designed to tackle third world women and the diversity of their experiences, and their view on how to attain equality in women’s rights. The survey will also contain questions that, when answered, will observe how similar the individual definition of feminism each respondent has to western feminism. The results of this survey will then help provide a clear perspective of how detrimental the marginalization of third world women is, and how invalidating western feminism is towards them. The qualitative method will be conducted through interviewing transnational feminist scholars who have a background in the discrimination of third world women. The purpose of these interviews will be to answer the research question of whether transnational feminism is the solution that needs to be adapted globally to erase discrimination of women minorities.” The professor has added a comment here saying “For methodology, also be specific: how would you choose scholars? Would it be random? How would you encourage them to participate? And the same information for a sample of women – what would the sample be, what kinds of questions would exist, and how would the research be carried out? What might the advantages or disadvantages of a particular strategy be?” So just make sure to add what those comments are saying while being logical to the theoretical picture.
