Purpose: This assignment will demonstrate your ability to communicate through writing, illustrating, and publishing your Write Path Beginning “Your Story”. What is the Final “Your Story?” The Write Path Final “Your Story” will be an illustrated, bound (optional) Children’s storybook.
Preparation: You will need to have an edited, electronic copy of your Write Path Beginning “Your Story” paper. (It could be reviewed and edited in the Co-Lin Writing Center–but that is NOT required.) In addition to your paper you will need to have a clear understanding Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. In addition, you must be able to search and select creative graphics to be used in the “Your Story” Children’s storybook.
Process: You will use your knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and your skill in selecting and editing appropriate graphics to create a Children’s Story Book based your Write Path Beginning “Your Story” book. You may want to print your book and keep it. You are encouraged to follow the steps of the writing process.
Image Your Story Book Length: 300 words (approximately 10-15 story book pages.)
Paper Structure: The storybook should have four clearly identifiable parts: title, introduction, body, and conclusion. Proofreading: Be sure to proofread your storybook before you submit it.
Submission Process–How to Submit/Upload to Canvas: Click the “Write Path Final “Your Story” assignment to submit the storybook for evaluation. On the assignment window, click the Submit Assignment link in the upper right corner. Click “Choose File” and browse to locate and select the Write Path Final “Your Story” storybook. Click “Submit Assignment.” Successfully submitted assignments will be indicated in the upper right corner with both “successfully submitted” and the “date stamp.”
Submission Process: The finished Your Story storybook is due in Canvas (Check Syllabus or Calendar for due date How Does This Count: This assignment counts toward your final grade in three ways. You must complete it to pass CSC1113. It will be included as part of your final grade average. You will demonstrate a clear understanding of basic composition, illustrating, and use of varied Microsoft applications.
