This assignment requires that you prepare a resume of a culture by following the specific guidelines described on the next page. The objective of this assignment is to help you become familiar with a specific culture as you summarize the unique customs, traditions, values, and lifestyles of a culture’s people. The focus of this paper is on communication; thus, in the nation section, you should discuss the major highlights of your country’s history rather than every event. This paper is designed to assist you in developing sensitivity toward the people of the culture you choose to study and enable you to communicate better with persons from the culture, but not necessarily make you an expert on the culture. This paper is not a “how to travel” in your chosen country; consequently you would not discuss touristic sites or accommodations or visit travel websites for your research.
