Research methods _ Devah Pager’s experimental audit study

1. Watch this video  (Links to an external site.)  with the sociologist Devah Pager discussing her research on race, employment and a criminal record. 2. In your first post, address 3 things: (a) What is her research question? Identify the variables in her experiment, explaining which are the independent and dependent variables.  (b) Explain why this specific methodology – an experimental audit study – was necessary to scientifically investigate the relationship among variables presented in her research question. (c) Why are the findings of this scientific experiment important? What do they help us better understand about how our society works? Be sure to label each part of your post (a), (b) and (c).  As always, end your post with a sociological question about Pager’s work.
