With a minimum of 200 words APA style format please explain the following in detail.In light of the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States — and the potential for other attacks on U.S. citizens here and abroad — U.S. government officials such as former Attorney General John Ashcroft believe that Americans may have to endure some tightening of their rights (civil liberties) in order to assure that their safety and security is protected against future terrorism in our country. The Constitution of the United States guarantees that we have the right, among other things, to freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of association, and implies (in the 4th Amendment) a freedom of privacy. Do you agree that the government should have the right to now tap into telephone and cell phone calls with greater ease, video monitor pedestrians in public places, place fingerprints on identification and show it to authorities when asked, and have police with machine guns protecting you in public places? Should the government allow for military tribunals, and for “sneek and peak” searches on homes without warrants? 1) What is the greater threat — the terrorist actions of a small number of people, or the abuse of power by the state?
