Imagine that while examining company turnover data, you notice that your organization has significantly higher turnover rates compared to its competitors. Because you realize that turnover can be extremely costly to organizations and that your company’s relatively high turnover rate likely puts them at a disadvantage in the marketplace. Develop a proposal for the senior leaders of your organization to make them aware of the problem and suggest a process for identifying the reason(s) for it that includes the following components: Problem Overview: An overview of the turnover problem at hand. How will you show there is indeed a turnover problem at your organization? What metrics/measures will you use to illustrate this? 2. Problem Examination: The specific steps you believe your company should take to examine its turnover problem to determine the cause and then based on that information, determine what steps should be taken to reduce it. 3. Recommendations: These should be tangible, direct, and properly cited with supporting research. 4. Evaluation Plan: As with any talent initiative such as this one to reduce turnover, the evaluation to determine whether it was effective should be important in the planning phase of the initiative. Include how you plan to evaluate your recommendations/changes to determine if they were effective in reducing turnover. What metrics/measurements will you collect/examine to determine if the changes that are made were effective in reducing turnover? Be specific about which and when these measures would be collected.
