Your instructor divides the class into groups based on numbers drawn from a hat. The instructor then tasks each group with researching and providing arguments for a specific, assigned position about immigration, both legal and illegal, and its causes and consequences—as well as key policy issues. During the next class, the groups will debate one another. What aspect of immigration would you be interested in researching? Is there a position that you would find difficult to argue for or against, and if so, why?
