The Importance of Occupational Safety and Health Act (Osha) regulations. OSHA’s main mission is to ensure that the employers provide a safe working environment for their employees. The organization has its standards that should be adhered to by all the employers and employees. In addition, the organization conducts frequent assessments on workplace safety in all industries and providing information on what the organization should do to improve the safety of the employees (OSHA, 2018). Also, the organization conducts regular training, education, and outreach, all aiming and improvement of the safety of the working environment. One of the importance of the OSHA rules and regulations is the reduction of workplace incidences that could harm the employees, the employer, and even the visitors. OSHA officials help in the reduction of these incidences through the identification of potential hazards, making a detailed review of the safety procedures, and keeping records of the assessments. The hazards depend on the industry and the department in which the employees have been deployed. Also, these hazards differ in the extent of harm that can occur to the employee (OSHA, 2018). Due to this, the OSHA officials usually classify the risks using a specific code that helps in the identification of the hazards that need to be addressed first. Therefore, OSHA regulations help in the creation of a safe working environment for the employees. References OSHA. (2018). Law and Regulations | Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
