Vigilance Team Case Study â€“ Building Trust and Team Effectiveness
Each student should read the assigned case, discuss as a group and prepare a case analysis. Review and analyze the case as if you were a consultant hired by the company to improve the teamâ€™s dynamics, or as if you were a senior leader for the division where the team operates. Your analysis should include an understanding of the key players in the case, his or her objectives, decisions that must be made, and a short- and long-term action plan for the case resolution. The following are some general questions relevant to most cases; however, each team will need to ask specific questions to help them determine the path of action for this case.

âˆ’ How would you describe interdependence among the members of this project team? Include the core team and overall project team in your responses and discuss team membersâ€™ views on the ways in which they are interdependent.
âˆ’ How do you think the people in this case are feeling? Should emotions matter? Discuss positive and negative ways in which emptions can affect conflict.
âˆ’ Address the emotional concerns (appreciation, affiliation, autonomy, status, and role)
