In sociology, the “melting pot” is a concept referring to a heterogeneous society becoming more homogeneous with the different elements “melting together” into a harmonious whole with a common culture. But, it is evident that Blacks were never meant to meld into the pot. The more Black that melds into the pot, the less White the broth. Simply review Jim Crow laws.

From the Black perspective, write an essay that explains and argues if this internal conflict has been settled and if so, how. If it has not been settled, is there evidence that there has been an effort to settle the dilemma.
