1.) Consider some of the propaganda that we have looked at over the last few weeks. How does propaganda factor into either the Reformation or the French Revolution? Propaganda can include written material, art, music, or other expressions, but you should definitely consider the effect of the printing press in your response. You should also consider both literate and illiterate audiences. Would the event have happened without propaganda (esp. printed propaganda)? Would it have played out differently? Be sure to include some examples of propaganda that we examined in class. 2.) Historians often divide European history at the year 1500. What came before what medieval and what came after was early modern. What happened around 1500 to make this change and how did Europe change after 1500? Your answer to the first part of the question should include several examples from class, while your answer to the second part should be your own analysis.
